Many people get sick as the result of food borne illnesses. These illnesses are caused mostly by eating the foods containing bacteria, viruses and parasites, which are harmful to body. It is must to take some precautions to prevent food contamination. You can prevent that by handling food with care, storing food properly. There are plenty of measures that you need to take during food preparation and food handling for promoting the healthy life. Practice well hygienic lifestyles to avoid many illnesses. Wash your hands with soaps before taking foods, especially after touching animals, using toilets. Bandage properly the cuts and wounds of your hands before handling foods. Similarly wash the knives, and other food preparing instruments thoroughly before using and especially after using it for cutting raw poultry, meat and sea food. Keep the food preparation surfaces clean by washing them properly before and after food preparation. Take much care while preparing foods for the people of young age, old age, and for a pregnant women as food borne illness may be life threatening to the these peoples. Avoid eating the foods such as raw or unpasteurized milk, raw or uncooked meat, soften cheeses, undercooked eggs, unpasteurized fruits and vegetables.
